Emergency fundraising campaign launched in partnership with five relief organizations
Individual donors can also contribute through the Wepublic platform
Donation records will be transparently tracked and disclosed using the block
WEMADE (CEO : Kwan-ho Park) has donated KRW 120 million to support recovery for wildfire-affected areas in the Yeongnam region through Wepublic, its blockchain-based transparency platform.
Wepublic is a platform that allows communities with shared goals or interests to launch and manage support projects transparently. WEMADE has contributed KRW 100 million to an emergency fundraising campaign co-hosted with five relief organizations : ChildFund Korea, Happy People, ADRA Korea,CARE, and the K-Green Foundation.
The remaining KRW 20 million will be donated through a matching campaign—WEMADE will contribute KRW 5,000 for every comment by users on the campaign page within the Wepublic platform.
Individual donors can also take part in the campaign by charging Wepublic Cash through the app or website and donating directly to the projects run by participating NGOs.
The funds raised will go toward helping children and families affected by the wildfires and rebuilding homes for displaced residents. A portion of the donation given to ADRA Korea will be delivered to the National Fire Agency to support medical expenses for firefighters.
